It's a hard no to audio guides! But strangely enough I am quite a reader of information plaques, I think because I feel like it's under my control and a choice I've made, and I can do it at my own pace. Would be interesting to give myself a break from those too and see what that's like.
I do always end up reading them. My dad was a painter and he always hated guides and plaques and even titles. So I definitely try to look at the art FIRST. For a good while if I like it.
I really like this article and feel like this when I swim in the pond and, in fact, organised a silent swim in the summer. But I do worry that I'm a chatter and apologise if I should shut up when we sing in choir together!
